Fans of Justin Timberlake will have to wait a few more months to see the pop star perform at the United Center. Timberlake announced on Thursday that he is postponing his Chicago concert, originally scheduled for Sunday, October 27, due to illness. The show, part of his “Forget Tomorrow World Tour,” has been rescheduled for Friday, February 14, 2025, promising fans a special Valentine’s Day performance.

In a statement posted on social media, Timberlake explained that he has been struggling with health issues, including bronchitis and laryngitis, which have affected his recent performances. “Hey guys – I haven’t been feeling great the last few shows and turns out I have bronchitis and laryngitis. I’m so sorry to say I do need to reschedule the next few shows from 10/23 through 11/2. Thank you for understanding – I’ll make it up to you,” Timberlake wrote.

Fans were quick to express their support, wishing the singer a speedy recovery and expressing excitement about the rescheduled date.

The rescheduling affects not only the Chicago concert but also several other performances that were set to take place between October 23 and November 2. Timberlake’s team has moved these dates to February 2025, allowing the star time to recover fully before getting back on stage.

Ticketholders for these shows can use their existing tickets for the rescheduled dates, according to Timberlake’s tour management. Refunds will also be available for those who cannot attend the new dates.

The new date for the Chicago concert, February 14, adds a unique twist to Timberlake’s performance. Fans will now be able to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a night of music and entertainment from one of pop music’s biggest stars. The show promises to feature songs from Timberlake’s forthcoming album, “Everything I Thought It Was,” as well as his latest hit single, “Selfish.”

“Rescheduling is never easy, but I’m looking forward to making it up to my fans in Chicago with an unforgettable Valentine’s Day show,” Timberlake said in a follow-up post. “Thank you for sticking with me, and I can’t wait to see you all in February.”

Timberlake’s “Forget Tomorrow World Tour” has been highly anticipated by fans, marking his return to the stage after a turbulent period. Earlier this year, he performed two sold-out shows in Chicago, which were his first public appearances since being arrested for driving while intoxicated on Long Island, New York. These concerts were seen as a triumphant comeback, with Timberlake delivering high-energy performances that highlighted his new music and reminded fans of his enduring appeal.

The tour, which kicked off in September, has received rave reviews, with critics praising Timberlake’s vocal ability, choreography, and connection with the audience. Fans have eagerly awaited the chance to hear tracks from his upcoming album, set to be released later this year. The album, which includes “Selfish,” is expected to showcase a mix of pop, R&B, and soul, reflecting Timberlake’s growth as an artist.

Despite the disappointment of the postponement, fans have been overwhelmingly supportive of Timberlake’s decision to prioritize his health. Social media was flooded with messages of encouragement, with many fans echoing the sentiment that his well-being comes first. “Take care of yourself, JT! We’ll be here when you’re ready,” wrote one fan on Twitter. Another fan added, “We’ll see you in February – it’ll be worth the wait!”

The rescheduled dates give Timberlake a few months to rest and recover before hitting the road again. The tour is set to resume later this year with a series of performances on the West Coast, followed by stops in Europe. Timberlake’s team has assured fans that he is committed to delivering the best possible experience when he returns to the stage.

For those who plan to attend the rescheduled Chicago concert, the February date adds a new layer of anticipation. A Valentine’s Day show could make for an especially memorable experience, and Timberlake’s fans are already planning to turn out in full force.

Fans who purchased tickets for the original concert date can use them for the rescheduled show on February 14, 2025. For those who cannot attend the new date, refunds are available at the original point of purchase. Additional tickets for the rescheduled show may also be released closer to the date, depending on availability.

Timberlake’s team has asked fans to stay tuned to his social media channels and official website for the latest updates on the tour and ticket information.

While it’s unfortunate that fans will have to wait a little longer to see Justin Timberlake in Chicago, the promise of a Valentine’s Day performance offers a silver lining. Timberlake’s fans remain as dedicated as ever, and they are confident that when the pop icon returns to the stage, he will deliver a concert experience worth the wait.
